The Grind

I sit here writing lesson plans, doing reflections, and reading books. Week seven, and I couldn't be happier to start wrapping up the term. Just a few more weeks and I'll be on to student teaching and wrapping up my schooling experience (for the time being) and on to the job searching. I am so excited to be closing out this journey and moving on to the things to come. I can't wait to have my classroom and begin my teaching adventures. Each day I learn something that will make me a better teacher and I am grateful for the experiences that I have had. As for college, no bitter, just sweet!

  1. Wow. How exciting. A new adventure awaits you. Somewhere out there is a child, and children who need you to encourage them. You will make a difference. All the best!

  2. Good luck as you hit the ground running, and I hope that classroom is out there, waiting for you. The kids, too. Stay reflective and focused, and remain connected. You never know when an opportunity might arise.

  6. This term couldn't get over any faster, huh? It has been a great experience but I think we are all looking forward to moving on. I wish you luck next term student teaching, it will be fun and busy but nothing you can't handle. As for me, well I still have a whole year left. It seems like I may never graduate. Keep working hard, you are almost there!

  7. I like how this has a positive vibe to it because I have no positive vibes about school or this term at all. Thanks for the refreshing thoughts on how close we are to the finish line and what lies at the end.

Where are you hoping to teach??

  9. Awesome frame of mind, Dalton! I have been so stressed thinking about everything that is still left to do, so it's nice to get a positive viewpoint on it again :) Wishing you lots of luck as we finish out this year!

  10. I too am looking forward to the next leg of the journey! Mostly for the fact that school will be over. I've learned that as much as I didn't like school, it was more of the experiences that I enjoyed, so I did, in a way enjoy it.
